Medical Council News is our official newsletter. Published and distributed to the profession 2-3 times a year, the newsletter contains a summary of the most important recent news as well as articles on topics likely to be of interest to doctors.

Also in this issue was Caring for and nurturing doctors, an article written by Dr Pamela Hale, and Innovation for the deteriorating patient which looks at Dr Jonathan Albrett's work in developing a year-long teaching programme that was recognised by the Clinical Educator of the Year Award at the Confederation of Postgraduate Medical Education Councils (CPMEC) conference.
